Product integration and extensions

We integrate FORGE, REALTIME and VOX with storage, MAMs, QC systems, delivery platforms and other operational infrastructure.

FORGE can be extended with custom tasks, plugins, scripting and its API. We also develop extensions across the wider Wraith platform for requirements that are not covered by the products themselves.

Specialist media engineering

Our expertise covers MXF, AAF, Avid workflows, camera media, captions, metadata, broadcast standards, media processing and interoperability.

We work directly with video, audio and file formats, down to codec behaviour and file structure.

Development partnerships

We work with selected customers as long-term development partners, alongside their own engineering teams.

Their operational requirements shape new capabilities, some of which become part of the wider Wraith platform.

Areas of expertise

• MXF, AAF and professional formats

  Byte-level MXF engineering, including contributions to its standardisation. AAF sequences, subclips, groups and metadata, with interchange between systems.

• Avid workflows

  Media Composer and shared-storage workflows, including OP-Atom media, AAF, ingest and interoperability with Avid environments.

• Captions and timed text

  CEA-608 and 708, Teletext, OP-47 and related subtitle formats. Conversion, generation and validation across multilingual and legacy character encodings.

• Media processing

  Codecs, scaling, colour, audio and standards conversion, from SD to 8K and HDR. We designed and built Wraith Engine, the processing pipeline behind FORGE and REALTIME.

• Workflow architecture

  Processing and automation architecture for individual systems, distributed deployments, high availability and multi-site operation.

• Integration

  APIs, storage, metadata and custom processing that connect professional media systems.
